शब्दांच्या जाती

 मराठी भाषेत प्रमाणेच इंग्रजी भाषेतही शब्दांच्या आठ जाती आहेत.

 प्रत्येक शब्द त्यापैकी कोणत्या तरी एका जातीचा असतो. शब्दांच्या जाती माहित असल्यास व्याकरणाचे आकलन आपणास लवकर होते व वाक्य रचना करण्यास ही सुलभता येते आणि वाक्यातील भेद समजण्यास मदत होते.

1 ]  Noun :-  A noun is a word used as the name of a person , place  for any living or non-living things in the world .

EX-

 Suhas ,  Ramesh ,  Nitin ,  cow ,  dog ,  cat ,  honesty ,  sincerity.

2 ]Pronoun :-  A word which is used instead of a noun is called  Pronoun.

EX -

Use of Noun	Use of Pronoun
Raj is going to school.	He is going to school.
Raj is a brilliant student	He is a  brilliant student.

3 ]  Adjective :-  An adjective is a word used for qualifying for adding something to the meaning of a noun or pronoun.

EX -

 Raj is a good boy.

 Our cow gives much milk.

4 ]  Verb :-  A verb is a word used to say something about a person , thing , place , action etc.

EX : -

The man is sincere.

 The boy is writing.

 The boys are playing cricket.

 5 ]  Adverb :- An adverb is the word used to add something to the meaning of verb ,  an adjective or another adverb.

EX-

 He runs fast.

 That day he came late.

 He worked the multiplication quickly.

6 ]  Preposition :-  A preposition is a word used with a noun or a pronoun to show how the person or things denoted by noun or pronoun stands in relation to something else.

EX -

  Rita has gone to Pune.

 Raj is in the room.

 The boy is fond of Music

7 ]   Conjunction:- Conjunction is a word used to join words or sentence.

Or

 Conjunction is the word that joins together two words  or two sentence.

EX - 

 Suraj and Raj are brothers.

 This is the house that Jack built.

8 ]  Interjection :- It is a word which Express some sudden feelings.

Or

It is a word or a sound in a sentence to express some feelings of the mind.

EX -

Oh ! What a beautiful animal.

Hurrah ! We have won the match.

Hello , Sonam ! How do you do.
